When the press has them down as "Shaham and Erez…probably the most dazzling I have heard" and "Wallfisch…one if the most outstanding international cellists" and these three giants decide it's time to join forces, one had better sit up and take notice for something quite incredible is bound to become of it! In fact, that is exactly what happened when their piano trio came to life at the beginning of 2009 and was keenly greeted with enthusiasm soaring from audiences bowled over by the intense togetherness and extreme musicality of this exciting new ensemble!

Already at a young age, all three musicians took home various prestigious First Prizes (Shaham/Erez: ARD; Wallfisch: Gaspar Cassadó) as a kick-off to what have since become very busy international careers. With legendary teachers like Ilona Feher (Shaham), Arie Vardi (Erez) and Gregor Piatigorsky (Wallfisch) they themselves have become much sought after teachers, holding professorships at the famous Thornton School of Music, University of Southern California (Shaham), The Buchmann-Mehta School of Music, University of Tel Aviv (Erez) and both the Zürich Winterthur Konservatorium and the Royal Northern College of Music, Manchester (Wallfisch). Masterclasses are taking them around the world and to well known summer festivals such as Kuhmo (Finland), Keshet-Eilon (Israel) and Banff (Canada).

A very wide range of recordings by these musicians is available from the Hyperion, Chandos and Nimbus labels.

While the trio has already toured Switserland and The Netherlands (2009 and 2011), a third tour in The Netherlands will take place in 2013 preceded by more concerts in Switzerland, followed by concerts in Germany and a début at the Amsterdam Concertgebouw Robeco Summer Festival. A first CD recording - featuring the Mendelssohn piano trio's - has been released in January 2012 by Nimbus Records. The trio's next cd has been planned to be recorded in 2013.
